We are at the end of our first day in Trinidad. Today we had an orientation meeting, and then after lunch we visited 2 Hindu temples. Most of us then hopped in the pool for some fun and this evening we went to the local youth group meeting and now we are winding down and getting ready for bed.

Last night we landed in Port of Spain a little bit after midnight. It took us probably an hour to get through immigration. The officials were giving us a hard time but finally we got the whole team through, then on to our bags, and then Customs wanted to take a look at some of our black tubs. After a short ride from the airport to the Trinidad & Tobago Urban Ministries retreat center. we unloaded our stuff, had a quick snack, and then 23 very tired people hit their beds. Thankfully we didn't have to be up for breakfast until 9:30.

Tomorrow we are going to an orphan home where we will be doing some painting and yard work and playing with the kids. Tomorrow afternoon we will be canvassing the neighborhood where our 5 day Bible club will be next week.

Everyone is healthy and in good spirits and so far seems to be enjoying it. We'll have more to say tomorrow and hopefully we can share some pictures. Thanks for following our trip.
